If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Welcome toThe Spill Movie Community
I wasn't defending anyone, just stating my opinion. And if it doesn't apply to you, then why such the angry response? Childish? Like telling someone to shut the fuck up for voicing their opinion is mature. And after posting such a long ass angry rant, you're telling me to calm down? Really?
The Hong Kong fight took place in a city that was made clear to be very populated and not destroyed at all, yet the protagonist punches through buildings and uses a civilian boat as a weapon. If they are trying to limit damage, they suck at it even more than Superman does. Superman also throws himself through buildings to what is presumed to be no casualties and both him and the Jaegers ultimately save the human race. Yet Superman is an asshole because he is more concerned about saving Earth than he is a small section of a city.
Meh, I think most of the bitching about collateral damage in MoS stems from hate of Zach Snyder.
those are two completely different things, my problem with it is that it is a serious movie and in the end they act as if nothing happened, everyone is back at work, and no one cares to mention all the deaths or devastation that occurred, so quit yo bitchin!!!(I'm kidding bud you can think what you want to think)
Man of Steel is about an alien who is trying to act like a hero and protect mankind having a mega destructive brawl with another alien invader wherein he completely fails at his job and there is massive destruction.
Pacific Rim is about a cities that have already been destroyed and them fighting (and losing) a war against giant monsters who outclass them most of the time. If you can't see the incredible differences between those two themes, time to shut off the internet and stop commenting on films. One is a semi-realistic look at two equally powered invaders using a city as their battleground. The other is about mankind building defenders to try and limit the damage these giant enemies do (and succeeding). A body count and city wide destruction is almost expected in Pacific Rim. No one expects Superman to leave a body count in his wake.
