If it's crap ... We'll tell you

I don't doubt for a second that Martin could feasibly have been acting in self-defense with Zimmerman on his tail. I almost clocked my own mum out of instinct when she snuck up on me once; you've got some stranger creeping on you in the dark and you'd have to be on edge. I can easily see even trying to get a preemptive strike on someone if you thought you had no chance of getting away without being mugged or injured, regardless.
No matter what, though, this case just seems too open and shut when one party has been silenced forever while the other gets to go free (again, really) without so much as an acknowledgement that Martin being shot shows a lot more against Zimmerman than some scrapes and bruises to him. If someone has a gun on you, you could run and hope they don't shoot you in the back or try to wrestle a death-button out of the other guy's hands. There's a million different scenarios that could have happened that led to Martin being on top of Zimmerman, and it's not like they all point innocence in either direction so to just close the books this quick is very telling of a lack of imagination for those involved.
It's innocent until proven guilty, but at least take a little more time given than Trayvon Martin wasn't allowed that same luxury.
As a side note, from what I understand Trayvon didn't have bruised knuckles due to the lack of posthumous bloodflow.
Exactly, and besides that, Zimmerman outweighed Martin, plus he had MMA training. And as for that beating that Zimmerman supposedly took, there was no evidence of bruising on Martin's knuckles. And if Martin was repeatedly slamming Zimmerman's head down on concrete, why were the only injuries a few 'lacerations' on the back of his head? Shouldn't there have been a concussion?
and i don't understand the whole shooting him because he was attacking you, My first instinct would be the punch you back or at least pistol whip you before trying to kill you.
to be honest if someone followed me in a car and then followed me on foot. i would have confronted them. simple as that. i get a bit edgy when friends sneak up on me let alone a stranger at night.
there is racial undertones to how thinks transpired. Those who try to gloss over that fact are fooling themselves. if you don't believe me go and get five white kids and five black kids, and have them walk at night dressed similar to trayvon and see who gets more suspicious looks.
This is the reality.
i can understand the juries ruling but to say that Zimmerman did not deserve ANY time??? that i do not understand.
I would say the story provides very thin if any reasons to suggest that Martin was involved with any illegal activity. He was a kid who was walking from the store after buying himself candy and a can of soda. Zimmerman had bruising on his face and on his body. Martin was shot fatally. Zimmerman was the one that got the better deal out of it, obviously but he's also a trained and armed cop while Martin was just a kid, and had no real chance against a grown man with police training and fire arms.
That so called 'culture' Martin was involved in exists in other racial groups as well. And like I stated earlier, you think there's nothing wrong with profiling African-Americans. Martin wasn't doing anything wrong, yet you think he deserved to be 'investigated' by Zimmerman.
Given that logic, I can question Zimmerman's 'culture' that involves profiling African-Americans and thinking it's perfectly fine. Or your 'culture' that assumes the worst of African-Africans.
