Just watched the Indy Jones films for the first time. They really are products of their age. I really wasn't feelin' em; TOO Hollywood.

I kind of feel the same way about Indy. However, I think its because you can miss the boat with some movies, meaning that if you dont watch something by a certain age, you just cant get into it later. I think that could happen with something like Indiana Jones.

I love the OT of Star Wars, but I saw it when I was little. I dont think I would like it nearly as much had I watched it for the first time now.

jack, if they really were homages, then I could appreciate them more. After Raiders, I just never felt a sense of danger; everything seemed so convenient and it turned me off. Again, ToD was the worst in this regard.

Skull has that shiny new product look that most films have now. The old films are classic Adventure Hollywood. A throwback really. Even for the time when they first came out.

Raymond, I totally agree with you. In fact, I would say it's my favorite. It's unfortunate that he didn't keep Marion(?) with him in the others. ToD had a whack female lead that caught me off guard.

Charmingman, just like the Spill Crew, I go into films WANTING to like them. Unfortunately, it didn't hit me like a lot of people. I definitely think it has some timeless aspects, but I also think some things I didn't like.
