Warcraft 3, Chen Stormstout was in the Orc campaign as a PC and I think he was canon. There were other pandarens and retextured furblogs but they were just easter eggs.

And you didn't offend me.

I apologize for my ignorance. When did the Pandarens show up? Was it Cataclysm? I remember the kinda futuristic expansion in BC and thought it was kinda interesting, but I don't remember any pandas. Again, a combination of poverty and ignorance has left me somewhat out of the loop.

I don't have a problem with the pop cultural references you made because they were self-contained in their distinct areas. I saw them more as nods than anything else and I thought they were kinda entertaining. I didn't mean to offend you Lavender, I was just expressing my personal opinion. That being said, how and when were Pandarens written in?

Oh for fucksake! Don't pull that!

1) Pandarens were canon already.

2) WOW already had:

-Dinosaurs

-Wiley coyote steamppunk cities

-Spaceships

-Laser-firing robot transformer things

-Rock concerts

-Wolf people and cow people, not to mention space goats!

-Rasta-trolls

-Crap tonne of pop-cultural reference, especially a quest involving a big daddy that nends with you getting ice cream from the general.

I don't know. Aside from my personal poverty, my interest in WOW stopped at this expansion. I liked how the traditional fantasy element (knights, dragons, orcs, etc.) was the prevalent theme, but to me personally, putting "Kung Fu Panda" into WOW was a mistake. I like Kung Fu Panda (at least the first movie, haven't seen the second one) but I don't see where it has a place in the WOW universe.

That being said, I'm willing to accept that they might have done a great job weaving a Kung Fu Panda-esque theme into WOW, but my first thought was "Pandas in WOW? Really?". Am I completely off base?

The levelling has the best pacing of the lot :)

I'd agree that they did improve the story arc quite a bit, but the leveling? That's just mediocre.
