After listening to yesterday's DAILY SPILL I am seriously considering moving to Austin. I am an aspiring animator/producer/writer from Chicago and I have been trying to get into the entertainment industry for over 10 years now. There's no real industry here in Chicago, people come here and shoot movies and tv shows and then head back to hollywood. I really don't want to move to LA but after reading that article in VARIETY LA is not the end all be all anymore. I already have my own production company but I need to be somewhere else. I am looking into some other places but Austin is definitely on my list. Just thought I'd share that with you guys.
Look if you're really don't want to this happen again then why not have some kind of animated public service announcement about spoilers in order to make others really listen to you otherwise comments are just going to keep falling on deaf ears.
I'm pointing out that it's inevitable. You always can't help what people will do on the internet and honestly seem like three or five people who didn't watch it. A better course of action would be to stay away from spill.
Hey peops, is this the place where one can put suggestions and stuff? because I see lots of suggestions and stuff too but I have one that is unlike the others
Just an idea i've thought about several times when listening to the podcasts, which I download through the download button on the player from the site (this is me saying: thanks for that).
So what about setting a system of comments wherein the timelapse of the podcast you are referring to is readily apparent, sort of like on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/electricyouthmusic/electric-youth-the-best-thing where you can put your comment directly on the timeline of the song and say "I love the guitar on this part". Or, for example, in the daily spill you could put some very limited and discernible options to tag your own comment as referring to this news/time set or general comment, and then give the option to visualize only those filtered by such tag you want to see comments on, therefore people wouldn't have the need to skip through 20 pages of comments to find discussions they are interested on and so promote a bigger participation from the user.
I have to say You guys are doing a fine job with this site. I enjoy listening to your shows and keep up the good work.
Idea: Review the (usually) better originals before the re makes comes out. I suggest starting with Oldboy. I'd love to hear what you think about the original film.
Problem: Don't have time to review it?
Solution: I'll do it. I love movies and reviewing them. If your interested drop me a line because I'd love to featured on Spill in any way. If you think it's a good idea and you don't want me to do the reviews then that's a win in my book too. If you think it's a horrible idea, let me know, and I'll come up with a better idea.
