omg! that was the most AH-mazing UN-necessary slap downs I have ever experienced! Kudos to you sir for that! To put the amount of time and necessary attention to being that upset is commendable. If you are looking for insightful reviews I guess you are at the right website for it, because the first 2 minutes of the review for 3 musketeers was SOOOO insightful. Really? REALLY DUDE? You know what that gave me just the laugh I needed today, I'm going to finish my day with a good beer and have a dramatic reading of your post at my production meeting. Thank you for the post comedic-gold of a Wednesday.
PS> I'm American and I LOVE IT. <- can that provide you with enough fodder for an equally as long rebuttal 'cause I await with baited breath.
I'm mostly just being scarcastic, the freedom of speech thing is just my play to Occupy Spill... stupid really, but enough to make myself laugh... ya you're popular, saying that makes my stalking seem less pathetic. LOL
"one thing that bothers me is how some people seek out a movie review site to hear their opinions, but then moan and whine when they feel differently or make fun of something they like (like the girl who was complaining about the costumes)."
- Freedom of speech is what allows you to point out what YOU are bothered by, as well as everyone else. So, if the only redeaming quailty of a film made to entertain is infact the costumes, then in my ability to speak freely as an american on something so minimal as costumes in a movie then by fucking god-dammit I will.
(also - they leave a comment section to have the ability to hear our comments, maybe they like hearing something other than "OMG I love you and you're so witty and funny and I want to meet you and have your babies")
I'm from South-west London, well, like just on the borderline of Greater London pretty much. Unfortunately, I probably won't be at the spill meet-up in London, as I probably wouldn't be allowed to get the train to Hackney or around there and back. I'm a teenager so, yeah. I dunno though, if I have a friend that can go then maybe I could, but I'm pretty sure I probably wouldn't be able to go.
lol yeah exactly. Interesting story about CR and that. You seem to travel a lot, must be fun, and really interesting too. But yeah, I think as long as you have common sense then you'll be fine in most places probably.
Sorry for the late response but I only just saw your comment on ACOCO and commenting now would be a bad idea. I see what you mean about Nick, but I was just generally basing that on the tonnes of times I've heard of stabbings and shootings in those areas on the news. Since I live on the very outskirts of London, I don't actually know what those areas are like, but I sure would be a little apprehensive about taking the train to and from there in the evening. I also know people who go to Camden a lot and I hadn't heard that was a bad area. So yeah, I dunno about Hackney and stuff like that.
The tragic stupidity is that I heard they're still trying to salvage it. I think they fired Taymour from directing and gave it to some new kid who probably doesn't know squat. So, aside from rewriting the plot, they are also going to drop some songs and add new ones (preferably not from U2). But these investors are more or less screwed, no one's getting their money back.
Though to add insult to injury, the South Park guys are releasing a low budget musical with the Avenue Q guy off Broadway. Already it's garnering rave reviews with only being released for one month. And I heard the production costs on that are so hilariously low, they are making profits already
Yes Julie taymour directed this trainwreck after Across the Universe. I think the NY Times said the show needs to sell out for 5 years consecutively to make up the $60 million plus the $1 million per week in maintenance costs, so fun times are ahead for this production
