Today we have two brand new posters from Sony Pictures 'The Amazing Spider-Man', directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield as the titular wallcrawler. While the first trailer went a long way towards relieving some of the "anti-reboot" people (and you know who you are), I can't help but feel like the company is severely dropping the ball in the print department. Sure, both posters have Spider-Man on them but can't we get something a little more original? The first poster at least tried to take a new route, but these are nothing we haven't seen before. Really? A shot of Spidey with something reflected in his eyepieces? Spidey posing above a city street? If this reboot is going to be taken as seriously as the company is hoping, they're going to have to start showing us something new and unique.

We also have the international version of the first trailer, which has a few extra shots and features more scenes with Peter Parker's parental figures, Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field):

OMG! I can't believe it! They pulled off the impossible! They made that epic piece of sh** costume look... almost decent.

I would just like to point out that Tobey's Spider-Man was pretty funny too.

They better not fuck this up.

Cause I was perfectly fine with Toby as my Spider-man and was anticipating Spider-man 4 (Spider-man 3 never happened though).

Nevermind, I just found out that Stark Industries RV is the name of a Russian movie website. My dreams of a "Secret War" movie have been dashed, I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonite.

Did anyone notice the "Stark Industries" logo in the lower right corner of the first poster. Intriguing? I wonder if Marvel has plans to mix the Marvel Universe even further in the films, especially because that happens all the time in the comic books. As long as Spider-Man doesn't glitter in the moonlight and there are enough scenes featuring him and the Lizard battling in the streets of New York, I'm all for this movie.

I hate the fact that he is running around in full costume but without his mask in the trailer. What happened to secrecy? Curious to hear what the Spill Crew has to say about it.

@keh006

I believe the way they after the Twilight audience is by making the movie more like Twilight.

Going after the Twilight audience doesn't necessarily mean its stupid. They just want to appeal to both gender demographics. I mean it makes sense considering they can bring in a lot of bank. Now it would really be a problem if they said they wanted to make the movie itself more like Twilight.

I hate the fact that the producers stated they are trying to go after the twilight audience.
