Trailer Tuesday - 'The Perfect Host', 'The Perfect Age of Rock and Roll', and 'Passion Play'

We've got a wide line-up of trailers today, so let's get to it:

From Niles Crane to insane - the trailer for indie film 'The Perfect Host' is out and stars 'Frasier' actor David Hyde Pierce as an unassuming man who accidentally takes in a violent bank robber, and... well, we don't want to spoil it for you. The film will be available on demand everywhere May 27th, but then hits theaters a month later on July 1st (which seems slightly backwards).

Second up is the trailer for Scott D. Rosenbaum's film 'The Perfect Age of Rock and Roll'. The film follows a rock musician named Spyder (Kevin Zegers) as he makes a road trip back to his hometown after his sophomore album turns out to be a flop. He reconnects with his original guitarist and songwriter ('The Event' actor Jason Ritter) to get back to his roots in rock and roll. The film is set for limited release on August 5th.

The last film may not have "perfect" in the title, but it too stars a washed-up musician. 'Passion Play' stars Mickey Rourke as the aforementioned ex-jazz musician who's on the run from a trigger happy gangster played by Bill Murray. While avoiding Murray's character, Rourke meets Lily "The Bird Woman" (Megan Fox) and convinced she's actually an angel, talks her into running away with him. The drama-filled adult fairytale will be in theaters on May 6th.

DAMN! Why does everybody hate Megan Fox?

The Perfect Host looks great. It shows resemblance to Hard Candy.

Perfect Age of Rock and Roll looks bad.

Passion Play looks cool. Mickey Rourke and Bill Murray are awesome, but Megan Fox is useless eye candy. Oh well.

Bill Murray as  a villain? And  believable one? Hell yeah I'm in.

Hey Passion Play,

Thanks for not keeping the mystery if she's an angel or not. Top notch job!

The Perfect Host, I look forward watching.

@ Matthew Mustin- I totally went "wait...WHAT? That's not right" when they flashed "Academy Award Winner Mickey Rourke" as well! I was wondering who else noticed..

OK "The Perfect Host" and "Passion Play" are confusing. I can't tell if they are comedies or should I take them seriously. Two actors that are only known to play funny roles; David Hyde Pierce and Bill Murray are now playing serious roles is really hard for me to grasp right now. All I see is Niles and Peter Vankman.
