The first trailer for the drama 'A Dangerous Method' reunites director David Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen who previously worked together on 'Eastern Promises' and 'A History of Violence'. Mortensen plays notoriously famous psychologist Sigmund Freud who is caught in a rivalry with his colleague Dr. Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) for the affections of a troubled but beautiful patient named Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley). Together, the two men give birth to the modern method of psychoanalysis. The likely Oscar contender will be in theaters in late 2011:

Paramount pictures has released the first trailer for director Craig Brewer's remake of the 1984 classic 'Footloose'. The film stars newcomer Kenny Wormald as Ren MacCormack, a teenager who is transplanted from Boston to a small southern town. Ren challenges a ban on loud music and dancing that was implemented by Reverend Shaw Moore, played by Dennis Quaid. The film will be in theaters October 14th.
Okay, that's all fine and good, but it doesn't come anywhere near being as good as LEOG member Fish and his hilarious punch-dance reenactment from last year's Spill Dot Con. Enjoy:
Jitterbug.

Comment by CHEEZYSPAM on June 23, 2011 at 10:09am A Dangerous Method looks good. I love most of Cronenberg's films and with Viggo & Fassbender together at odds than this could get interesting!
I'm all for remakes if it is relevant to do so, but Footloose? why? The social commentary was relevant in the 80's, but this looks ridiculous set in today's time. How long before we get a remake of Heathers, Pump Up the Volume or Dirty Dancing. Do we really need 2 versions of every movie ever made? What is it about this new Footloose that hasn't already been said 27 years ago? Why the fuck are we catering to the MTV crowd? talk about irrelevancy.

Comment by Skull-Masked Mike on June 23, 2011 at 3:11am Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Great another movie that makes me hate mankind. lol Seriously though, this trailer makes me really want to see the movie now.
A Dangerous Method - Seems pretty interesting, though Knightly's weird accent is throwing me off.
Footloose - Not so bad so far, might be a decent remak- (Wanna see somethin'?) god dammit!

Comment by stalksthemoon on June 22, 2011 at 7:11pm Footloose= Step up 4, I'm glad Efron decided not to be in this, it's the last thing he needs right now.
A Dangerous method looks pretty good though.

Comment by Einrick Quiznos on June 22, 2011 at 5:24pm The PotA trailer isn't working on this page...
I've already seen it on another site, though. It definitely has me more intrigued. It seems it's gonna' be more character driven, than action, which I find great as I think they will develop Ceasar's arc very well. Also, I like that the kid from Harry Potter(Malfoy or some shit?) has monkey feces on his face in that quick snippet when he says, " He'll learn who's boss, soon enough."....Heh, Captain Poopy Face...
Though some here are trying to ground this movie in their own reality(which I think is pointless), I still have a feeling I'm going to enjoy it. Looks great.
Footloose looks too modern and bland for me to even care about. A Dangerous Method looks like Oscar bait for the actors involved. Not really the type of film I want to see in theaters, though. Maybe rent and watch alone...maybe...
