The Movies I've See in Theatres in 2012 (NOW WITH BLURBS!!!)

Just like the last two, but with blurbs about what I thought of the movie

The Adventures of Tintin (3D)- Jan 12- 4/5 stars- A very good classic style adventure epic with pretty good 3D.

War Horse- Jan 12- 5/5 stars- Though very cliche, it was a great war film and one of my favorites of 2011.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close- Jan 21- 5/5 stars- Do not see the hate for the movie, emotional and powerful.

The Grey- Jan 28- 5/5 stars- Greatly marketed as something it wasn't, and very rewarding look on the many ways of facing death.

Beauty and the Beast (3D)- Jan 29- 5/5 stars- I can't believe I went my whole life without seeing this, better than most of the other Disney movies I grew up with. Great post-conversion 3D, damn near went cross-eyed.

The Descendants- Jan 29- 4.5/5 stars- Though a very formulaic plot, it did something different and made me really enjoy it.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (3D)- Feb 10- 3.5/5 stars- Upon this viewing, I take back 80% of all bad shit I said about it and I really enjoy it now, 3D was dull for the most part, opening crawl and the podrace stuck out.

Chronicle- Feb 17- 5/5 stars- The only found footage film I liked and saw in theatres, a work of PURE FUCKING SPLOOGE INDUCING GENIUS!!!

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (3D)- Feb 17- 0/5 stars- FFFFFUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK YYYYYOOOOUUUUU!!!!!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo- Mar 3- 5/5 stars- Still one of my favorites of 2011, better upon 2nd viewing.

21 Jump Street- Mar 18- 5/5 stars- Seriously, one of the top 20 funniest movies I've ever seen, and that means something from me since I don't say that about recent releases.

The Hunger Games- Mar 24- 4/5 stars- A really shitty book turned into a really good movie.

Wrath of the Titans- Apr 5- 3/5 stars- Great visuals, but a slow-paced, lackluster story

Titanic 3D- Apr 5- 5/5 stars- Need I say more

American Reunion- Apr 7- 4.5/5 stars- Great way to get back together with the gang for one last film

The Three Stooges- Apr 13- 4.5/5 stars- Felt like I was watching one of the middle of the road Stooge shorts, but I would like to see them do more shorts to put in front of other movies.

The Lucky One- Apr 21- 3.5/5 stars- I really enjoyed the book when I read it, and the movie didn't disappoint, plus I'll watch anything with Zac Efron in it, he's the only pretty boy that seems like he can act, plus his blue eyes are hypnotizing enough to make you go 'I WILL NOW DO YOUR BIDDING, MASTER'

The Avengers- May 5- 5/5 stars- FUCKING AWESOME!!! Need I say more?

The Artist- May 11- 5/5 stars- The first time I've ever seen a black and white silent film in theatres and it was one I'll never forget

The Dictator- May 16- 2.5/5 stars- Had about 3 big laughs, a few chuckles and that was about it. A big disappointment, parts of it reminded me of 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan', which I also disliked

Dark Shadows- May 16- 3/5 stars- A big improvement over 'Alice in Wonderland', but the first half seemed like it was dragging on forever and by the second half, it picks up and becomes interesting then it ends. Looking forward to Burton's next movie, 'Frankenweenie'. Still wish he could come back and do another Batman movie.

Men in Black 3 (or MIB cubed)- May 25- 4.5/5 stars- Better than the second one, even though I enjoyed that film, but not quite up to par with the original. Still really enjoyed though.
