I love well-made trailers for films of any genre, but as a terror junkie, I glean particular joy from eerie horror trailers. Such is the case, in my opinion, with the teaser trailer for '7500.' The film, directed by Takashi Shimizu ('The Grudge') is about an airline flight from Los Angeles to Tokyo beset by a supernatural threat. What I love about this trailer is how it never gives you any glimpse of what that threat actually is; creating a pronounced ominousness in its withholding. Also, the unsettling rendition of John Denver's "Leaving on a Jet Plane" is pitch perfect for striking the right tone. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

'7500' takes flight August 31st

There were exactly zero even mildly creepy things in this trailer. Even bad movies generally do better than this.

Smoke monster-its always a  smoke monster.

Eh nice trailer will the film itself be the same?  We'll see.

This is so fucking stupid.  There's only so many spots you can go on a plane.  Boooooooooooooring.

Looks like crap, if this "evil" is soooo evil then it would just crash the plane in the ground with powers like that
