What the heck is this title supposed to be like seriously I've heard Saw 3D, Saw VII, Saw: The Final Chapter, Saw: The Traps Come Alive! I mean make up your mind already. Anyways. Pretty much everyone on Spill is just ripping this movie apart and I really can't understand why. Oh wait yeah I can.

Story: Saw VII really doesn't have a story per say. The saw franchise itself has basically one story and it just adds to it everytime. Just go onto IMBD if you really care about a Story description. The story was done just poorly and bad. I wasn't expecting it too be that good anyway. I liked the number of twists in the movie. Especially the ending. That is probably my favorite ending in the franchise. So overall the story is awful but the twists redeem it a little.

STORY: * 1/2

Acting: So going into this I definitely wasn't expecting great or even good acting for that matter in this. I mean usually the Saw franchise has good acting but not in this case. I did however think Cary Elwes(Dr. Gordon) was much better than he was in Saw 1. Maybe he took some acting lessons or something. I also thought the lead guy who goes through the game was really good at some times and sometimes he was bad. I forgot his name sorry. But that cop. That stupid cop. I recognize him from Final Destination 1. He was the guy that died first. He was good there but in here he was SOOOO bad!!!! It was pissing me off trying to believe his performance. Oh and all the supporting roles like Hoffman, Jill Tuck, Jigsaw even makes a cameo. They all do fine as well. So overall the acting didn't really impress me but it had its moments I guess.

ACTING: **

Pros: The way this is heading it sounds like I didn't like Saw VII but I actually liked a lot of stuff!

As always the music is great I mean I love the saw theme. I thought the 3D was ok for the parts that it was included into. I also liked the editing and the pacing of Saw VII. Of course they all have great pacing. Except 1. And the creativity of the traps are really great here. I love most of the trap scenes in the movie. Oh and of course the blood and gore are just amazing here too.

Cons: Besides the story and the acting the only thing I really didn't like was the opening sequence. It really bugged me that the whole reason the scene existed was because of a love triangle. ...REALLY??? That's the best these writers could come up with? Oh speaking of writing, it wasn't very strong here.

Audience: If you are a fan of the saw franchise like a big fan like me. Go out and see Saw VII. It will deliver so much better than everyone else is saying. If you aren't a saw fan or your a stuck up, nitpicker who compares Saw to Torture Porn. Don't see this. You'll waste your time.

Before I give me final score I think I know why nobody liked Saw VII. I think everyone saw Saw VI and loved it and had high expectatins for this and forgot to think, "hey, this is the saw series were talking about. We can't have 2 perfect saw movies in a row!" So I think the main reason this isn't sitting well with some fans is one word. Overhype.

So overall. I actually enjoyed Saw VII for what it was. It was fun, I never got bored, and it kept me guessing.

For a movie, I can only give Saw VII ** 1/2. But for a Saw movie, it's worth *** stars.
