Hey Spill, how are you today?
I'm fine, thanks for asking. I just came back from a screening of the new James Bond flick, and boy was it disappointing! Warning, minor spoilers.

The opening scene is very cool and has a lot of potential as do many other stunts throughout the movie...but what's with the Bourne-ish editing? I couldn't figure out half the shit that was going on most of the time and I really felt like the way the scenes were cut didn't work well at all. It's a great shame since many ideas are pretty good!
The rythm is also very uneven, with quite a lot of talking with some ridiculous lines. To be fair, the "boring" sequences are usually interrupted by a big action scene but I never felt "involved" in the action. I saw this movie with two mates and we all liked Casino Royale a lot and expected a cool ride to this new Bond world...but none of us really cared about Bond and what he was trying to do. I had some difficulties to understand the plot, aside the fact that I saw Casino Royale a long time ago...it's just confusing.
The vilain, Dominic Greene isn't very convincing and he really feels like the middle guy, not like the mastermind of an underworld multinational organisation...even though I liked the fact that the baddy doesn't want to blow up the world with some A-bomb for once. Oh and another thing, where did Greene find the petrol to drown the girl in since they are in bolivia and it was said very clearly that no petrol is left....did he fly her to middle east and back?Plus, it's a pretty expensive way to dispose of someone...
Anyway, on a more positive note, it's a nice entertainement but it's just not worth seing it on the big screen, I actually think it'll look better and clearer on a home set! Oh and special mention to the table touchscreen in the MI6 office...I want one of those!
Thnaks for reading!
