Revealing Interview With 'Man of Steel' Henry Cavill

While appearing on Jay Leno recently, Henry Cavill ('Man of Steel,' 'Immortals') revealed a few insights from early in his career and what might have been. Apparently even before he was cast as Superman, he was sought for roles ranging from Edward Cullen to James Bond! In addition to these interesting tidbits, the interview also features a badass clip from 'Immortals.' Do you guys think Cavill would have made a good Bond?

'Immortals' opens this Friday; 'Man of Steel' opens June 14th, 2013

@hewylewis Lets face it.  All of Greek and Roman history was in fact stolen from Time Bandits :P

I've been watching out for Henry Cavill for a while now. I'm glad he's getting more exposure. Can't wait to see what he's like in Man of Steel. As for Andrew Garfield, I thought his performance was particularly stand out in The Social Network too, and it was a shame he didn't get more recognition for it. Looking forward to him in The Amazing Spiderman.

They stole the Minotaur idea from Time Bandits!! You know, how the bull head was a mask.

Way too young to be James Bond

Yea yea, I remember Carlyle talking about this a while back on ACOCO. I could see him as Bond in my mind, but I'm not, I going to see him as Superman. Here's to future prospects.

Andrew Garfield was good in the Social Network, but was probably the least memorable of the main actors. Hell, Rooney Mara and Armie Hammer had more lasting impact.

Cavill's a pretty solid actor. He was good on The Tudors and I think he's an ideal choice for Superman. Just remember folks, we all had our doubts about Christian Bale as Batman. And yet he proved awesome (Shut up about the voice! It was epic!). Same with Andrew Garfield. Despite the fact that we have yet to see The Amazing Spiderman, it's obvious from his performance in The Social Network that he can carry a whole movie.

Wow, Jay Leno honestly, truly isn't funny. At all. Maybe he was at one time, but Sickboy Syndrome caught on.

Weird... because of LEOG I've been on a Count of Monte Cristo kick for the last few days... I've watched it like 6 times since last Friday.  To Henry there as a teenager and to see him now.....

He needs a better tailor though.  If he bends his arm anymore that jacket arm is gonna split open... not to mention the pants... I'm not complaining, I'm just sayin...

And both Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, Brandon Routh and Tom Welling have all gone topless in their respective turns as Superman (not that I'm complaining, I'm just sayin'...). And yes, I'm keeping count.

Now lets go back to some more of this:

No, bad Bond. He would make a very bad Bond.
