It has now been a couple of years since the announcement that there will be a remake of the 1984 film "Red Dawn." The movie was filmed in Detroit in 2009, and they have had troubles in post-production.
In the movie, a group of teenagers fights against a troop of Korean soldiers that have invaded their town, and the country.
Apprently, MGM wanted Toby Keith to do the soundtrack for the movie, but they couldn't afford him. MGM does have some money troubles, but is that the only reason why the film isn't out yet? It seems to me that if they wanted the movie out so bad, they could have gotten somebody else to do the soundtrack. And now that it's been three years since they filmed it, I don't know if it'll be released just like that.
Even with all the money issues, the movie was supposed to be coming out in November of 2011, but was delayed to November of this year. I guess they got there things together. I'm also one of the few people that can't wait for the remake. I love the original Red Dawn, and even though I think it was a little quick to make a remake, I would still like to see if they did a good job.
The remake will star Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki, Josh Peck, Isabel Lucas, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and many others.
For any other additional information about the cast, crew, or the movie, their is a website dedicated to showing all Red Dawn remake related news.
If all goes to plan, MGM should have "Red Dawn" in theaters by November 2nd.
