Deadline Hollywood reports that Zachary Quinto will play famed composer and pianist George Gershwin in a biopic at DreamWorks Pictures.

Gershwin, who passed away at the age of 38 in 1937, composed music for both Broadway and the classical concert hall, as well as popular songs. His compositions have been used in numerous films and on television.

The biopic, written by Doug Wright, stands as one of three projects that Steven Spielberg is looking to direct next.

The site says that the studio is supplying accent and dialogue coaches for Quinto, and shooting could begin as soon as April.

I don't know if George's life is eventful enough to warrant a movie, but at least Quinto looks the part. We'll see how it looks when Stevey boy gets around to it.

I just checked Spielberg's upcoming projects on imdb, and he's got a lot on his plate it looks like. I wonder when this will come out.

Have you guys watched Heroes lately? It's actually been fairly good this season. Easily the best it's been since season 1, still no where near season 1 but hey it's an improvement, that's why it dissapoints me that this season is getting far fewer rating then last season which was far worse. Anyway, this guys a really good actor that has yet to disappoint me in a role. I look forward to what he does next, especially if he winds up working with Spielberg.

As long as it doesn't bar him from doing the next Star Trek film, I am all for any project that gives Quinto work. Not that he needs it, seeing as how Heroes will never... just... die! (it's probably getting picked up for another season)
