With all the going-ons in the news these days, I decided to try and find an analogy for the current events with the world of comics. Marvel comics to be precise, and the X-men universe in particular.
These are just some of the comparisons I was able to make based on the current players in today's news vents. Feel free to advise of any better ones;Pastor
Jones as Dr Trask (albeit a bible thumping version). - ‘They’ are the enemy and must be destroyed! All of ‘them’ are dangerous! Quite possibly hoping to turn some God-loving (or fearing) Americans into Koran-hunting sentinels.
Newt Gingrich as Senator Kelly – Slimeball politician who would use any situation to slander and demonize those he considers ‘evil’
Osama bin Laden as Magneto (Evil) – Kill them before they kill us. Quiet possibly hiding out in an evil lair in the mountains. Used to be friends with the USA, then shit got messed up.
President Obama as Professor X
– Possibly the most powerful person on the planet but crippled byinability to do anything about all the other crazy people running aroundf**king things up.
Sarah Palin as Mystique/Sabretooth/Weapon X
– She kicks ass via facebook and sex with amama grizzly surely is how Sabretooth came to be? Also, she is dedicated to destroying Obama.
Glen Beck as William Stryker
– Hell bent on exterminating the opposition, and prone to spouting insane gibberish. Had a hand in creating the entity Sarah Palin™.
Hilary Clinton as Magneto (Reformed)
–Former enemy, turned ally, after the (possible) fall of Obama, she will be there to rescue the USA.
General Petraeus as Cyclops – The kind of guy you want leading the troops all the time. Straight shooter, but determined to win.
Levi Johnston as Wolverine
– Bit of a redneck, not the brightest bulb but impervious to all the mental bullets shot at him, and thanks to him I believe in the regenerative power of stupidity. Also, sworn enemy of Sarah Palin
