If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Are you people ready for this? Because I don't think you are. For the first time in a handheld Pokemon game players will be allowed... to move in more directions than up/down/left/right. Groundbreaking. It is kind of silly to look at the changes being made for Pokemon X & Y as anything new because most handheld games have been doing these things since the DS. But if you look at the Pokemon series as a whole you start to get a grasp on how different Pokemon X & Y is going to be. In the gameplay trailer below we get to see four new Pokemon in action while also getting a better look on how the players will get to interact in the world. In order of appearance starting at 0:44 the new Pokemon are called; Fletchling, Helioptile, Pancham, and Gogoat. Did you fucking see that clip of the avatar riding a Gogoat in a city? Damn. I'm really geeking out here and I'm almost positive I'm not alone on this. I stopped playing Pokemon after Ruby & Sapphire (10 years ago) and decided not to buy another Pokemon game until they made the battles look like they did on the Nintendo 64 classic Pokemon Stadium. Which is exactly what they did for X & Y. Take a look at the gameplay trailer and cover art for Pokemon X & Y below and leave your impressions in the comments section.
Pokemon X & Y will be released in October 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS.
