If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Nicolas Cage is, how to put this articulately...a weird dude. His career choices over the last few years have been baffling, but he also seems to be on a quest to appear in as many films as humanly possible. These tend to be hokey action films, not a small number of those being direct-to-video. His latest project however, seems like it might be a little more grounded and dramatic than what we've seen of late. Cage is teaming with director David Gordon Green ('Pineapple Express') for 'Joe,' a drama about an ex-con living in a small Texas town who finds redemption in helping a troubled teen find direction. What's this? Nicolas Cage starring in a non-genre film directed by David Gordon Green? Interestingly enough, before Green became known for comedy, he cut his teeth as filmmaker on indie dramas very much like this. The first image from 'Joe' has just hit the web. It's been a long time since we've seen Cage with a beard, but hopefully there will be more to his performance than just facial hair. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.
