New Photos from 'The Amazing Spider-Man'

Entertainment Weekly has released a batch of new images from Marc Webb's upcoming reboot 'The Amazing Spider-Man', starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. As well as finally "officially" confirming The Lizard as the main villain, the pictures also show off the full suit, including our first actual look at the films mechanical webshooters underneath the costume, Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) at work, and Peter Parker's powers in action:

Sam Raimis Spidey got really stale by the third one, talk about bad casting! I hope this one is darker like the second one. Reinvigorate the franchise!

I'm not going to automatically assume this is going to be crap, but I don't have high hopes for this movie. They got the wrong director, the wrong actor, the wrong everything. If you disagree with me, that's fine, but let me say this: if you get excited from looking at these pictures you are a huge vagina. I can understand mustering enthusiasm for a movie centered around a character you care about, but if I ever get excited by a picture of Gwen Stacy toweling off spiderman's wounds I'm going to stare at myself in the mirror and wonder how I became such a lame jabroni.

You know there is one thing I hadn't thought of, Ryan Reynolds comes across as frat boy Van Wilder but not Green Lantern, Chris Evans comes across as teen or twentysomething jock Johnny Storm but not Captain America, but based on what I saw in Social Network Andrew Garfield actually does come across as awkward teen Peter Parker.

Diggin the webshooters! keepin it real with the comics, Although this crazy detailed suit certainly doesnt look homemade, whatever though, Im sooo excited for a new look for spidey. Plus Andrew Garfield looks way more like the Peter Parker I saw in the comics. The "Amazing Spiderman" series was/is my favorite so I have high hopes for this movie. Spidey 3 let me down in so many ways (how could they do that to venom!??!!) This must be awesome! please!
