Mencken Powell Graham posted a statusBlue Sky Studios, the CG company responsible for 'Robots,' 'Rio,' and the 'Ice Age' films is gearing up for their next animated adventure 'Epic.' The story centers on a little girl who finds herself in the middle of a battle between good and evil when she is shrunken to the size of a sprite. 'Epic' will feature the voice talents of Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, and Beyonce Knowles. This new poster for the film plays up the battle story elements while simultaneously kind of reminding us of the poster for 'Rise of the Guardians.' I'm curious, especially since the movie comes out in four months and this is the first I've heard of it. Take a look at the poster below and let us know what you think.
'Epic' hits theaters May 24th

Comment by OneFunRun on January 11, 2013 at 4:47am the slugs make me worry a little on how big of a role they are going to play in the movie and just scream we're going to be the annoying character that causes problems every now and then. Just a thought

Comment by Nick Kroboth (Herr Daimyo) on January 11, 2013 at 2:57am Blue Sky? Meh, could be alright.
@ OptimisticBroadcaster - I am with you on that. If you are going to name your movie it better have all kinds of stuff happening in at a grand scale. I mean the seats in the theater better shake, from the middle to the end the audience better feel as if their lives are in danger, and there should be some earth shattering stuff going on that makes you question your own existence when the movie is done.
Cool poster. I hope it lives up to the look. Sometimes with posters one can't really tell what you will get.
Comment by Sachal Khan on January 11, 2013 at 12:20am I'm guessing this movie was made on the cheap (less than a $100 million) and will be, at best, decent. It will also go on to moderate business domestically but will do gangbusters overseas.
Comment by The Broadcaster on January 10, 2013 at 11:40pm Now that I think about it no movie should ever have the name EPIC attached to it as a title. With a name like that they better make something special enough to earn it.
Comment by Brandon Campbell on January 10, 2013 at 10:17pm Christoph Waltz is in it. That's reason for me.
Comment by HudsonsirhesHicks on January 10, 2013 at 7:10pm @Gregory Alford - why are you even on this site?
