First off I have to say I saw this with my future Father-in-law and I thought this was going to be an awkward time filled with dirty bizarre jokes that he wasn't going to get. However I am glad to say that this movie is very well written and the performances bring each character to life in a way that throughout this 90+ min film you are never bored.
I have never came so close to peeing myself in a movie theater from laughing so hard. Also this film is entirely too funny to eat popcorn at in fear of choking. My favorite scene of the film is where one of them calls their wife in the 80s to chew her out for cheating on him in 2010, the only problem she is 7 years old. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves to laugh.
2.) The Wolfman

This was a confusing movie. Confusing in the fact that a lot of critics hated it guts however this movie pleasently suprised me. I was expecting some pile of trash walking in but instead I got a fantastically well paced, frighting monster movie.
This movie had some of the most impressive gore I have ever seen it held nothing back. The only one negative for it was seeing two warewolves duke it out, that seen was cheesetastic however the rest of the film was very well done and shouldn't be missed.
1.) How To Train Your Dragon in 3D

This is one of the only films this year or even in the past several years that I have actually already seen twice in theaters both times being in 3D. There is something to be said about that right there. This film has wonderful animation, coupled with a great story and the most impressive 3-D effects I have seen ever. The first time Toothless and Hiccup meet is a wonderful moment reminding me of Wall-e in the fact they conveyed so much with little to no dialouge. If you haven't seen this film yet go see it, its such a great movie you don't even need to bring kids to it.
There are both of my lists so far, however my favorite movie of last year (District 9) didn't come out until later in the year so who knows what might creep up on me.
