If it's crap ... We'll tell you
What a spell-binder!
Good stuff...The visual effects for the apes are extraordinary, putting this movie instantly in top ranks with King Kong and Avatar, in my opinion. It doesn't feel overdone, nor does it feel fake, its just simply perfect. The acting is magnificent, especially from Andy Serkis as Ceasar, and from all the other ape characters. Through their subtle facel expressions and body language, its easy to see how they feel without any means of dialogue. I also give praise to James Franco and John Lithgow. Tom Felton in this was really unexpected, and I gotta admit, he's pretty good at playing the cruel jerk his character is in this movie, plus, it's cool to now see him outside the Harry Potter series. Seeing the evolution of Ceasar's character and his abilities are marvelous and even wimisical, and then even ominous as the movie goes on, which adds to the complexity of the writing. And lastly, the action scenes are just absolutely intense and unforgetable.
I have no complaints as of now, and next to HP7: Part 2, this has got to be my most favorite movie this summer. Plus, I bet within a few years or something, this may be remembered as a sci-fi classic, just like the original Planet of the Apes. By all means, check this movie out!
