If it's crap ... We'll tell you
These are my most anticipated video games of the year 2011, and this is going to be in list format cause who doesn't love lists, and with this blog you'll know what kind of gamer I am.
Catherine is the latest and by far the craziest game that Altus, the people behind the Shin Megami Tensei Persona series, has come up with.
The game is about you trying to get with two girls, Catherine and Katherine, and they are main focus of the game and based on your decisions, you'll end up with one of them, but your dreams, where the main part of the game is in, will be affected the most drastically depending on your decisions throughout the game (And because you're basically cheating on one of them).
Also this game is basically testing the grounds of how a high def persona game would look like, and so far from what I've seen in the trailers, it's looking quite nice.
Batman: Arkham City
Batsy's back home, but the crazies from the asylum are the one's giving him the homecoming.
Continuing from 2009's award winning game, Batman Arkham Asylum, has batman continuing to face off against the joker, who has seen better days, and from what trailers have shown so far, the joker going all out to see who gets the last laugh.
Pokemon Black and White
If it ain't broke, don't even try to fix it, cause Nintendo knows that slapping some more stuff into the game is gonna do just fine and will sell regardless.
But this one is trying to go the right direction for improvements, especially graphics wise, and who doesn't think using the nintendo ds as skype is awesome, you heard me right.
Final Fantasy Type Zero
Square Enix, things aren't going good for you guys right now with FF13 and FF14, but damn, can your trailers bring back hope for a FF game.
Gritty, violent, bloody?! and a psp game no less, and it takes two umds to play the whole game, the old ps1 games took multiple discs, and I think this might be a good sign, hopefully.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
I never played the original kid icarus, except playing pit on smash bros brawl, but when nintendo showed off the trailer in E3 2010, I said, "They got me, I'm giving into the 3-D B.S. and buying this!"
But really, it's looking good and I would mind seeing another mascot standing next to nintendo's major mascots.
Star Fox 64 3DS
What's the difference? I've played this game to death already. The graphics? Then way the hell is it on my list so high up?
Because I have been waiting for nintendo to say, "We can't make a good sequel, and we need to give it up and do a remake."
Okay they didn't actually say that, but this pretty much makes me think that was at least a conversation topic at nintendo HQ, but I'm okay with it, I wanted this for years, and the 3-D, online, and co-op modes are going to make my replay experience all the more sweet.
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3-D
I'm pretty excited for star fox 3d, but I was saying B.S. about this one right here until I saw the trailers, and the improved graphics is enough justification to play it again.
Final Fantasy Dissidia 2
Dissidia 012 Duodecim Final Fantasy, what the f**k?
Stupid f**king title aside, I loved the first one, turning kingdom hearts gameplay into a fighting hybrid was genius in my eyes and this game is the only reason why I even want my psp, I planned on ditching it when 3DS was announed.
But this game is more of what I loved in 2009, and I can't wait to smack around Lightning and Sephiroth with Laguna (Thanks Square Enix) and titie- I mean Tifa.
Mortal Kombat 2011
I say forgot Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur, Dissidia, Smash bros, and any others, cause this right here, I lose my sh*t every time I hear about a mortal kombat game in the works.
Though, these past years I've been going through less than quality titles and I'm going to pretend MK vs DC never existed.
But my hopes have never been this high for an MK game since MK4, skeleton breaking power moves, most brutal and stomach churning fatallites I've ever seen, and it's returning to the good old 2D fighting of the first 3 MK's.It may not be midway anymore (R.I.P.) but with warner bros letting Ed Boon and Nether Realms go this far, it's my second most anticipated game of 2011.
And Kratos being in it blows my mind.
The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
This beat out everything on the list by miles.
But seriously, there's nothing nintendo can't make me hate zelda (Not even the cd-i or crossbow BS), because I have no doubt that nintendo will make this another great game in their zelda line up.
You can take your realistic graphics, your guns, your first person shooter rpg hybrids, your "mature" big boy games, and call of dutys and shove them up your a$$!
Cause whenever nintendo says, "zelda game in the works," I say F any other company I like cause they are nothing to a zelda game in my eyes.
I don't mind waggling like a retard as long as it's zelda, cause I say hand me a pretend sword and shield over a game with guns any day.
