Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed the rumors that Michael Sheen (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, Frost/Nixon) will have a role in Tron Legacy, directed by Joseph Kosinski's. Sheen will reportedly play the villain.

In the 3D adventure, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

You can view the VFX Concept Test that was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con below or HERE in HD!

Tron Legacy is targeted for a November or December, 2010 release.

Not that Michael Sheen is a bad actor, but finding out that he's the villain is a big disappointing for me.

Personally, after recently seeing the previous Tron movie, I would have liked it if Jeff Bridges's Flynn had taken a turn for the dark side and we found out why in the movie causing young Flynn to battle his own father.

Then again, that would be way too Star Wars. All looks good and looking forward to the STUFF THROWN IN YO FACE 3D of it.
