International 'Taken 2' Trailer
It's kind of comical how excited I am for 'Taken 2.' I loved the first one so much, with its no nonsense, streamlined revenge plot, and I'm ready for my next Liam-Neeson-kills-bad-guys fix to the point that I'm getting a little twitchy. Today, a brand new international trailer hit the web. It has a couple snippets of new footage, and one very important divergence from the American trailer. I remember reading something long ago and far away about how the plot for 'Taken 2' would involve Liam Neeson getting kidnapped and Maggie Grace having to rescue him. This was of course, troubling. However, the U.S. trailer seemed to set up that it was just the family matriarch, Famke Janssen, who was going to be abducted. The international trailer on the other hand shows both Janssen AND Neeson kidnapped. The line, "your mother is going to be taken," from the American trailer is revealed in full in the international cut to be "your mother and I are going to be taken." I just hope we don't spend a great deal of the movie with Maggie Grace. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

I get this distinct feeling that this is supposed to be the twist of the movie and we just got inadvertedly spoiled.

Liam-Neeson has a very particular set of skills but not the most important one (Common Sense). Why would this character allow his family to go on vacation (or visit him) in a foreign country, after what happend to his daughter.
I really hope through most of this movie you're not watching Maggie Grace (Kim Mills) with a copy and paste particular set of skills try to save her parents. "Maybe" Neeson gets away early in the film and does much of the saving and Grace just eludes capture.
After seeing this trailer I'm kinda intersested, but not excited.
