So far, getting any major news out of Brad Bird's 'Tomorrowland' has been as difficult as maneuvering through the Space Mountain line without a Fast Pass. That said, we do know a heck of lot more now than we did just two months ago. We know that Damon Lindelof wrote the screenplay, for what was once titled '1952,' and we know that it will star George Clooney and Hugh Laurie. As far as what the actual movie is about, that remains as unclear and enigmatic as the photos of that strange box circulating the web, the one that apparently ties into the story somehow. Now, Hitfix has evidently, against all odds, unearthed a plot synopsis for this secret upcoming Disney project. They do stress that this may not be the official logline of the film, but it is the description being sent around to agencies in order to put the rest of the cast together. Here's the synopsis...
"A teenage girl, a genius middle-aged man (who was kicked out of Tomorrowland) and a pre-pubescent girl robot attempt to get to and unravel what happened to Tomorrowland, which exists in an alternative dimension, in order to save Earth."
Wow, so I was way off base with my guess as to the story, but then so was everyone else. This plot is somehow even weirder than was were those elaborate efforts taken to obscure it from us. That being said, I am wholeheartedly on board for this. Tomorrowland existing in another dimension? A girl, a genius, and a girl robot as our trio of heroes? Earth's very existence tied into solving the mystery of what happened to a theme park? If that even is the Tomorrowland they're referring to? No one can say this isn't an original concept. There is so much within that description for Brad Bird to work with, and I'm interested to see him potentially combine his knack for live-action scene construction with his bold, imaginative animation sensibilities. Once again, there is a possibility that this isn't the synopsis that will be on the back of the box, but it is a very good sign that they are sending this descriptor out to agencies. It would be interesting to now go back and re-examine the contents of that box in light of this development, and see if any items take on a more concrete meaning. At any rate, I can't wait to secure admission to 'Tomorrowland.'
What do you guys think? Are you intrigued by this plot synopsis? Who might you suggest for the two young female leads, human and robot?

Thats as wacky as a plot of a robot that has to go back in time for some reason...then he has to choose whether or not his friend lives...OR DIES....did i mention his best friend is a talking pie?!?!
