As you watch the first trailer for the military actioner 'Act of Valor', it is going to be extremely difficult to believe that it is not based on a Tom Clancy videogame. The similar authenticity is due in large part to the fact that the stars of the film are actual active-duty Navy SEALs and the script is based on actual SEAL missions. The result is a seriously badass-looking trailer for a film I can’t wait to see.

Check it!

'Act of Valor' opens February 17, 2012.

I'm with Instant Udon on this; while I have nothing but the utmost respect for the SEALS and what they do, this movie is nothing but propaganda for the current administration to try and steal credit. Not only that, but we're giving the AQ targets for their revenge...

I am soooooo there!!!!!! We haven't had a really good military shooter in a while, and stuff like the expendables doesn't count. Cool to see the real mccoy, but those guys can never again serve in a covert I have no face capacity. Obviously if they have time to make a film and be known they're probably not deployable. Sweet idea none the less, don't bitch about how much it looks like CODMWF and Battlefield when you buy the games. You buy the games for a reason, just be happy and smile at the hail of hot lead.

I'm calling it right now. This movie was created to bank off of the success of the recent Bin Laden SEAL Team mission, and the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This is nothing more than a cash-in. They even had a scene with computers tracking soldiers with little squares around them, created to look just like it's a scene from a video game. Lol so many suckers are gonna buy tickets for this.

Was that the trailer for Modern Warfare 13 or Call of Duty 27? I'm confused.

@SpaceMan, I know EXACTLY what you mean brah, I've always hated how those damn rich actors show up in movies like it's their fucking job to play rolls! Thank god for this movie and this director, getting real Navy SEALs to play the rolls, those actors won't get a piece of the REAL action!

NAVY SEALS = 1 PIECE OF SHIT ACTORS = 0 HAHA! FUCK ACTORS MAN, GO BACK TO WHERE YOU BELONG, YOUR REAL JOB, BEING PHONIES!

Now this looks like a movie I'd pay full price to see. I like the fact that it's real Navy SEALs playing the rolls and not some money rich actors.
