Aaron posted a statusRidley Scott's 'Prometheus' is rapidly becoming one of my most anticipated movies of 2012. How much this 'Alien' prequel will actually connect back to the 1979 classic is uncertain, but the more glimpses we are given of the film the more it looks like an amazing sci-fi epic all on its own. Recently the first official poster for the film was released, which bears a background image that should be familiar to you if you peeped the images from the magazine spread. Take a gander at the poster and tell us what you think.
'Prometheus' opens June 8, 2012

...what big head?
Comment by TheMantaBluRay on December 15, 2011 at 1:46pm I love how it reflects on the Alien poster. It has that same spark of bright light that comes from a Big Head instead of a Big Egg.
“In Space, No One Can Here You Scream”
“The Search For Our Beginning, Could Lead To Our End”
Comment by Kernee on December 15, 2011 at 1:45pm I'm really excited for this film and really interested in seeing how it expands on the Alien universe sans Xenomorphs. I also wonder how much of the general movie public will think this is a prequel to Alien or not catch the similarities at all. In any case the poster looks great, mysterious and stylish. Would love to have a print of it.
I heard the trailer will be shown in front of a few films either this week or next and will be released on the apple website soon.
Comment by Taabuu2342 on December 15, 2011 at 1:33pm I am a huge, huge, HUUUUUUUGE Alien fan, so I am really looking forward to this. However I very fearful that they just wont be able to market it to the general movie going public. I hate to say it but in away the shitty trailers that give away the plot and the bland blue orange contrast posters that are mostly composed of the names of people in the film are in a way........a good thing *shudders*. Despite that I am very hopeful that I am wrong and that this films does turn out to be a huge success.
Comment by MultiTool on December 15, 2011 at 1:28pm Is that Liam Neeson's profile on the giant head? It sure looks like it.
