First Image From 'The Man With The Iron Fists'
Calm down, this has nothing to do with Marvel's Iron Fist. I know, I'm disappointed too. However, former Wu Tang Clan member RZA is directing a martial arts movie called 'The Man with the Iron Fists' that he co-wrote with director Eli Roth ('Hostel'). The film tells the story of a blacksmith who must apply his talents in a different manner to defend his village from attackers. The cast put together for this film is quite impressive: Russell Crowe, Jamie Chung, Lucy Liu, Pam Grier, and the RZA himself. More impressive than the cast however is this first image from the set, shared via RZA's Twitter. No need to adjust the size of the image, that IS in fact a dude getting his eyeball punched right out of its socket. Holy. S**T. Apparently the first trailer for the film will be dropping tomorrow. Stay tuned, hopefully there will be more severed body parts flying around. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

as long as they don't take it seriously and realize the ridiculousness they have. sort of like hobo with a shotgun. and Rza is, i've heard, a walking martial arts film encyclpedia so im curious what does with this. and the soundtrack is looking to be pretty epic.

Rza is still a member of the Wu, in fact he's essentially the leader of the group (hence the alias "The Abbott"). I'm such a die hard Wu fan I had already decided I was going to see this before ANY footage had been released. I'm still disappointed the Bobby Digital movie was never released. This is a long time coming seeing as how Rza has made it a point to keep working in the film industry, making great connections, and doing everything he could to learn from great directors. Hopefully this could be the start of a great third career for him.
