'Dredd' Trailer Arrives
I've been looking forward to Pete Travis' reboot 'Dredd' for a long time. I still like 1995's 'Judge Dredd,' for all the wrong reasons, but I'm pumped to see a slightly more serious take on the character from Karl Urban, a diehard fan of the comics. The first trailer has finally arrived online and it's...surprising. I like the idea of a drug called Slo-Mo that slows everything down, a reason built into the narrative for a currently popular action movie trope. Yet most surprising is the similarity between 'Dredd's big action set piece and the plot of 'The Raid: Redemption.' Locked in a high-rise full of criminals only to have the villain announce your presence to all the resident scumbags and you have to work your way to the top? I'm not insinuating one stole from the other, it's just surprising to note. All in all, a pretty badass trailer if you ask me. Take a look at it below and tell us what you think.

this is gonna suck, because the trailer sucked....i can only imagine the movie...opinion and based on watching movies that had good tailers, and the film turned out boring and shitty

I hope they don't overdue it with the whole Slo Mo thing...That shit could get old really fast. I also wish they woulda kept the I am the law part hidden other than that there wasn't much they could've showed that was gonna deter me from seein' this movie

I don't know the Dredd parts look really good but the bad guy parts look kind of lame, but this is one I've been waiting for so I'm seeing it!

The Raid is a better movie but it does look pretty, if that's the type of movie your looking for.
