Does Bruce Banner have control of the Hulk or not?
A discussion that has been going on since The Avengers debuted in cinemas..If Bruce has control of the Hulk then why did he almost KILL Black Widow? Many theories have been thrown about from Lowki controlling the Hulk's mind, to Hulk just wanting to let off some steam..Personally i just think that due to the fact that Bruce had been "without incident" for almost a year and given the fact that he was in an explosion he was disoriented and unable to control the Hulk at that time. While this does not take anything away from The Avengers i feel like this is going to be one of those things that movie fans talk about for years to come. Let me know what you guys think.

I don't think control is the right word. I have problems with The Avengers movie, but Hulk isn't really one of them. I think Bruce can turn the Hulk on when he wants to, but after that the level of influence Bruce has on the Hulk seems tiny to moderate. The first "Hulk Out", Black Widow was the only one around, he was hurting, and he knew she was the one who brought him to this place, so he was angry at her. The next Hulk Out was in response to these creatures coming in and attacking. I think his waiting for Cap's orders was maybe a way to crowbar "Hulk, Smash!" in there, but then again, maybe the Hulk was capable of understanding the gravity of the situation and wanted to make sure he was not in anyone else's way.
