Ridley Scott seems to be a busy man. Just off the heels of Robin Hood, he's got two Alien prequels, a period drama and more in store. But news for one of his upcoming films, an adaptation of The Forever War, has just arived. David Webb Peoples (writer of Scott's Blade Runner, 12 Monkeys) has signed on to write the screenplay of the adaptation.

For those who have not read the story, here is a basic synopsis: "[The Forever War] tells the contemplative story of soldiers fighting an interstellar war between humanity and the enigmatic Tauran species [and has] pithy, insightful explorations of the inhumanity of war and of bureaucracy, and of the psychological effects resulting from time dilation space travel."
