Congratulations Carlyle!!!!
As many of you may know, Carlyle hasn't been involved with Spill lately outside of ACOCO (which to be honest is good enough for me seeing as ACOCO is my favorite podcast). I remember Carlyle saying on one episode during the beginning of his absence that he was busy writing for other sites and doing multiple other things. What I didn't know was that Carlyle was also busy writing other things. While on Ain't It Cool a few minutes today, I noticed something that made me extremely excited and happy. Carlyle is now officially a screenwriter http://www.aintitcool.com/node/49558
Carlyle's script that he wrote alongside his good friend Scott Derrickson (director of The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) and writer/director of The Exorcism of Emily Rose) is being kept under wraps, but it is described as "a horror story with a crime at the center." Although I'm unsure of the studio, the movie is planned to be filmed this summer. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that it's being produced by Jason Blum, the producer of Paranormal Activity.
Although I don't turn 21 for another 3 years, I'll raise a cold for Carlyle, and wish him nothing but the absolute best. I look forward to seeing the film, and hope he has another film made. Hopefully I'll be able to write something him one day. Congratulations Carlyle!!!!!!!!!!!!!
