If it's crap ... We'll tell you
I found out from IGN that on Christmas Day Bleeding Cool posted pictures of Watchmen prequel comics namely of Nite Owl(most likely Dan) and Comedian, while these have been taken down I'm slightly sad that they're moving on with this without Alan Moore's participation(who's been very vocal about continuing watchmen's story)
My view on this: Since I know you're gonna do this DC, do it right and make it all about the original team, the minutemen. The following is how I believe they should go about this
Since they're talking about Nite owl do Mason not Danny. Because we know so very little about Mason's, super hero career beside a throw away lines here and there and you could use the book he published as his narrative dialogue. What makes his story more interesting is he'd be kinda the batman of the group and will who is walking the line of being like Dan is(smart and methodical) and Rorschach(Cruel and unyielding). Example of last point, remember how Hollis said he knocked out Captain Axis? well you can turn that into a moment where he flies into a blind rage and starts pounding the guys face in.
Comedian, I do want to see his life or atleast something important in it, because beside Vietnam, his death, his assault on Silk Specter and the riots, we know very little about his career as an actual superhero or assassin, which if you got someone to do something like what Rucka's doing with Punisher with Comedian then I'd be happy with it. I don't want to know what made him like he is just more adventures of him being him.
I'd also like a series about the THREE gay/lesbian characters of the minute men(the silhouette, captain metropolis & hooded justice) especially as that's a thing that would be a good thing to have a book about gay/lesbian superheroes who are in more hostile time period to their sexuality and to talk about the hard ships they faced almost 80 years ago(remember the minutemen were formed in the later 30s in universe), and I'd know it'd have a big impact with today's marriage and rights debates that are happening in the LGBTQ community.
And finally want to see the slow decent into madness of Mothaman, which could include Dollar bill as the Iron fist to his Luke Cage. With his fall into alcholism and detachment from the group becoming more of a loose cannon by the day.
And the thing that ties all of them together have all of them interact with the first Silk Specter at one point or another weather it be teaming up with the lead character/s, her flirting with Comedian before the rape and/or possibly the night they concived Laurie, Silhouette attempting to covertly flirt with her, her friendship with hooded justice and metropilis as Justice's Cover girlfriend. Not to mention her being the shoulder to cry on for Mothaman when dollar bill is killed and being there to witness him slowly go mad.
