If it's crap ... We'll tell you
'It's Always Sunny' fans rejoice - FX star Charlie Day is currently in talks to join Guillermo Del Toro and Legendary Picture's massive monster flick 'Pacific Rim'. If cast, Day would join fellow FX actor Charlie Hunnam ('Sons of Anarchy') in the film. He is reportedly in negotiations for a role as a scientist in the film, and seriously - how awesome would it be if he was one of those "no one believes the crazy scientist with the weird theories until the sh** hits the fan" kind of scientists?
'Pacific Rim' tells the story of a futuristic world where Tokyo has been decimated by a very Godzilla-like giant monster. As the event is investigated it's soon revealed that there is actually a portal in the Pacific Rim to another world (dubbed "the Anteverse") full of massive creatures who are slowly emerging from the depths of the ocean. In response, the military creates the "Jaeger" program: gigantic building-sized mechs, piloted by humans, who battle and destroy the invaders.
Recently, on the set of his hit show 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia', Day joked about popular co-star Hunnam: "I've never seen 'Sons of Anarchy'. Charlie Hunnam? Has he done anything? I've seen (Hunnam's 2005 indie film) 'Green Street Hooligans'. I love that movie...(But) I think if I walked into a bar in Rhode Island with him, no one would know who he is." You can also see Charlie Day alongside Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis in the upcoming comedy 'Horrible Bosses'.
