The Hollywood Reporter has discovered the eclectic roster of author-playwright L.D. Napier's feature directorial debut, an original comedy that she also wrote titled Mis-Fits about a "necro-detective" who goes in search of people's lost, dead relatives.

According to the trade, Guy Pearce, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Seymour Cassel, Cloris Leachman and Virginie Ledoyen will star in the "wacky comedy in the tone of 'Harold and Maude,'" as desribed by producer Doug Claybourne (The Fast and the Furious).

The source also notes that Cinematographer Affonso Beato (The Queen) and production designer Richard Hoover (Dead Man Walking) have joined the crew.

I have liked Guy Pearce ever since "Priscella, Queen of the Dessert" and Memento. And this does sound a bit off beat and different. Still "Mywifedave" is right. Studio press people need to stay away from using phrases like "wacky comedy". it is overused and has become a big red flag for problems

I have hope for this, Guy Pearce picks great scripts ( unless he does one for the paycheck like Bedtime Stories )
