If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Cloud Atlas, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Brave. What do these 3 films all have in common, they are on my list of the top ten best film's of 2012.
Like I said on of my worst of, 2012 has been a pretty good year in film. My opinion of course. But this time I'm talking about the good stuff.
I haven't seen The Master so I don't want hear how come it's not on here. Also their are going to be films on here you're going to disagree with. That being said here's my list.
5.Zero Dark Thirty
Gripping, suspenseful, and brilliantly crafted, Zero Dark Thirty dramatizes the hunt for Osama bin Laden with intelligence and an eye for detail.
4.Life of Pi
So a boy, a tiger, a zebra, a monkey and a hyena are all on a boat. Which might be the beginning of a joke. But here Ang Lee's Life of Pi achieves the near impossible it's an astonishing technical achievement that's also emotionally rewarding.
Its sprawling, ambitious blend of thought-provoking narrative, eye-catching visuals also the sheer size and scope of Cloud Atlas are all but impossible to ignore and must be praise for.
Brave has a great story about mother/daughter relationship's which is rare for an animated film, a strong female lead with Merida, photo realistic CG animation, hilarious moments with a lot of heart and emotional depth make Brave simply the best animated film of the year.
1.Silver Linings Playbook
Silver Linings Playbook walks a tricky thematic tightrope, but David O. Russell's sensitive direction and some sharp work from a talented cast gives it true balance and makes this the best film of 2012.
I hope this list inspires you to seek out these titles. Check out #10-6 and hope for the best in 2013.
