If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Longleke posted a discussionI've been on the fence about the new 'Underworld' film for some time. On the one hand, these movies started out as cheesy fun, but they seemed to have lost steam of late. I won't say this latest TV spot has completely assuaged my doubts, but the amount of additional action footage does suggest an over-the-top romp more in line with the first film, which was incredibly entertaining. I particularly like the added shots of the giant lycan. Take a gander at the TV spot below and tell us what you think.
'Underworld: Awakening' opens January 20

Comment by Omnibus on January 7, 2012 at 8:23am Werewolves are my favorite movie monster. I figure i am not alone in thinking they rule due to their cameos in many movies, videogames, cartoons, and television.
While the advant of special effects seems to have made it much easier to add in CG monsters in recent years, some of the best effects are still done with practical suits. I have to say though that the "look" of a werewolf, is very incosistant. I for one love the hulking fur covered bohemiths, and less the human faced people with long facial hair that look like wet rats. to be fair some of the more feral looking werewolves still look like big wet mutant rats. i think van helsing was one of the first that got a pritty decent looking werewolf. TO hell with the wolfman movie!.
underwold is a bit off, but ive come to like the designs. like not love; ergo i am curious a bit to see what this "giant werewolf" is going o look like. Hopefully it doese not end up being the second movie in which we get like two werewolves in a tunnel and one decent looking one in the very end hyped up only to have its jaw torn off lol.
I hear there is a new movie in production called Gladiators Vs. Werewolves? I wonder how that will do? one thing i can count on. good or bad, i have collected about 30 werewolf movies, and likley will by both on home release. so i wait hopeful not to be let down. nothing worse than a B-movie quality werewolf in a big budget movie, or a guy with bad makeup in a B-movie; in which we must " suspend our disbelief" that the mutant with bad hygiene is a werewolf.

Comment by stiver on January 6, 2012 at 3:52pm I'm damn tired of trailers now using the line "this ends now" or "this ends here".
This movie looks dumb. Way to dumb. It's looks like a Resident Evil movie sequel, and I stopped watching those.

Comment by BadAss Knives on January 5, 2012 at 11:26pm How can anyone who loves horror/action hate these Underworld movies. They better than at least two of the Resident Evil's. But that is always the comparison, I ma sure there is other shit out there, but I love these movies.
