great ACOCO as usual.
It's nearly impossible to get hired in art unless you know somebody who knows somebody important. its all politics.
hmmm.. i'll have to check this later.
People aren't mad JUST because of the kinect. And nobody cares about the tv-service.
The kinect is ALWAYS activated and reacts to people if they even mentions the name "Xbox" in a conversation. For example, people tweeted about how their xbox killed the live-stream of the Xbox One-conference, every time they said the word in the show, because they where watching it on it. And if you say "Xbox movie" or "Xbox music" while somebody is playing game, the system will jump to either a movie or music and quit your game. Which you could easily exploit: say you play a game and your baby-brother comes in to fuck with you and says: "XBOX MOVIE" the system will exit the game.
Also, it's always gonna be online (you can't play a game if it does not have internet-connection) and you need to activate the system at least once a day to keep it activated or it may ormay not delete your saves if you don't.
But most of all, Microsoft have decided to make you pay for used games. This is an addition that comes with the fact that now you can save the game ON TO your system, meaning you no longer need the disc to play a game. admitted, a cool idea, but could also easily be exploited and give Microsoft a bad profit.
Therefore, when you put a game-disc into the system that has already been installed on someone else's system (say you bought a used game at the store or you just borrowed a game from a friend) you will now have to pay a price to make your Xbox install it. That sounds bad enough, but the price you would have to pay is not gonna be a small fee, but is going to be the full manufactured price.
In other words, in order to play a game you bought used or play a game you just borrowed from a friend, you can end up paying 100$ for just 1 game.
Say you bring a game over to a friends house; in order to play the game, no matter what it was sold for when you bought it, you would have to pay another 60$ JUST TO PLAY THE GAME.
This is bad. Very bad. Not necessarily for gamers, but for Microsoft. It's speculated that they decided to market the system to a wider audience, so that parents would wan't to pay for it, therefore the TV-angle. But it's likely to assume that parents would not be willing to pay 60$ JUST so that their kid can play the new CoD that he borrowed from his friend. Or maybe they first realize this when their credit-card get's blocked, because little Timmy borrowed too many games. Which in total: could lead to attempted law-suits against Microsoft.
Also, after the announcement, Sony's stocks rose with 10%.
In conclusion, Microsoft is getting a bad reputation and their customer-service is hurting heavily from this. And there is still no reason to why you should not just get a PS4 instead. By the matter of fact, you may even save money from puchasing a PS4 instead, since it can do the same as the XboxOne (except for Kinect and the TV services. But let's be honest: if you want to watch T.V, B-U-Y a TV. And voice-commands and movement-commands are not as practical as JUST. PUSHING. A. BUTTON. )
I find it interesting the art graduate never did an internship to get connections with anyone... I mean that's like a requirement at my art school around junior-senior year. Maybe that's just here. *shrug*
@T-wilk Thank you.
Korey, how could you defend the XboxOne? That's the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen.
