@Hector really? because the Spy Kids movies and Sharkgirl and Lava boy are the opposite of creative to me. very forgettable in everyway
When well Robert Rodriguez make Predators 2?
Machete Kills review: Machete Kills brain cells, plot and integrity in this 2013 sequel to the 2010 action-spin off of Grindhouse directed by Robert Rodriguez. It's Mexpoiltation meets Moonraker meets Star Wars and it's really sad were this is the lowest Star Wars has been referenced as far as i'm concerned.
Ex Federale turned unwilling Spy for the US, the Mexican Myth, Machete (played by 69 year old badass Danny Trejo) is back and now he's hired by the President of the United States (Carlos Estevez aka Charlie Sheen. And if that basterd gets elected i'm moving to Canada or the UK stat lol) to take down a two faced revolutionary (Demián Bichir) from launching an advanced missile towards Washington and something like that. It's a way to stop the USA by helping Mexico gain...respect or whatever, lazy plot and all. But as Machete goes through the plot aka CHECKPOINTS, he realized it's not all as it seems. And Mel Gibson co stars as the villain Luther Voz aka Rodriguez's Hugo Drax/Darth Vader hybrid, and Sofia Vegara is LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as a Brothel-murderer.
The film makes a huge mistake by showing a Grindhouse preview of the NEXT Machete film. Yes they are planning a next one, Machete Kills Again IN SPACE! Ugh........why not wait till the end to do what MARVEL does and do that?? B/c essentially this film, this trash is meaningless, it's the Episode II of this Machete series. And even if you do wanna see the next one, do you wanna see bad effects, actors being annoying and Robert Rodriguez doing his crap again?!! But aside from that the film is just crap, Machete is one note and Trejo does his best, but the others are phoning it in like Jessica Alba (THANK GOD her part is smaller) Walton Goggins from The Shield, Antonio Bandaras, Michelle Rodriguez (still hot, same with Amber Heard, whose smoking in this and evil) or even Mel Gibson (who does look like he's having fun) or not even caring (Vergara, and Lady Gaga are just there for name brand, same with Vanessa Hudgins). It's just badly made effects, and story and the kills are just over the fucking-top, it's past caring. The plot goes into 24 territory to full blown Sci-fi without a damn hitch, and it would be fun but now it's Jumping The Shark and makes the first Machete (and I had problems with the supporters overshadowing the lead, same here but that is TDK, compared to this schlock. Thanks a lot Robert, now go off and sniff paint.
Other actors include former Spy Kid-Alexa Vega (sporting a Sin city attire and looking great), Electra and Elise Avellan/Crazy Babysitter Twins, Cuba Gooding Jr., Bill Sadler, make up legend Tom Savini, and Julio Oscar Mechoso. I'll give Machete Kills a SOME OL BULLSHIT. Machete Killed my enjoyment thanks a lot.
craters? on the sun?
didn't realize Co-host was this dumb
Leon Hates Mexicans.
I find it hilarious how Machete is the Same character from Spy Kids xD like no bullshit
And he directed From Dusk Till Dawn, which is a pretty badass movie. I think.
@Leon: Don't compare Robert Rodriguez to Tyler Perry because Tyler Perry hasn't written or directed any movie that I loved, Robert Rodriguez on the other hand did something fun and creative with the Spy Kids movies and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.
@Lord Galvatron: No out of all the Spill crew, Co-Host seems to be the one that over analyzes everything and just sees the movies flaws and nothing else.
Damn does Leon like anything? Out of all the Spill crew he seems to be the one that over analyzes everything and just sees the movies flaws and nothing else. I mean I would have understood it if he gave it a rental but a high bullshit really?
