New Trailer For M. Night Shyamalan's 'After Earth'

M. Night Shyamalan's 'After Earth' is my least-anticipated among all the post-apocalyptic sci-fi films being released this year. That said, I really enjoyed this longer trailer. Will Smith and his son Jaden play a father and son who have crashed landed on Earth 1,000 years after humanity has abandoned it. The latest trailer gives us a sense of the enormous action set pieces as well as emphasizing the father/son relationship. I'm intrigued, but I have also not forgotten that the last time Shyamalan did something this effects-heavy, it was 'The Last Airbender.' Jury is still out. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

'After Earth' hits theaters June 7th

@ Mother Superior
A trained military official would not panic, especially when panicking would just make the son panic as well. It makes no sense, what you said.

@HudsonsirhesHicks

but what if Shyamalan pulled a 'Movie 43' on Smith though? :D

i really want this to be good . but having the m.night stamp on it makes me sad. i hope will can pass the torch like he is trying to do to his son.

You can almost hear Will Smith think "Why the fuck did I pick this shit over Django?".

I hate how Will is trying to make his son a star.... I DONT WANT TO SEE JADEN!!! i want to see Will kick ass.. jk

You'd think if Will is the father that he wouldn't sound so emotionless when telling his son that he is being stalked. Imagine how much weight that scene would have if he was panicked. A parent's worst nightmare (not being able to protect their child). But we get "target is is approaching. Target is drawing nearer. It has found you. (or however it went, I really don't care).

M. Night is the bizzaro Chris Nolan

The other side of the coin is Will Smith is in this. He can command $20 mill per film, same as Denzal or J. Depp can so surely if he read the script and realized it was shitty, he wouldn't want to even do it. He knows Shyamalan's bad track record the same as the rest of us, so I'm sure he wouldn't even attach his name to it if he didn't want to - Its not like he needs the work or money.

I see nothing here that would suggest this movie's terrible like every one thinks.

 @mister Y, I see M. Night's name on it

Will Smith sounds like he just had all his emotions sucked away.  I have a feeling M. Night has given terrible direction to actors, making them look terrible.

Aside from that, it does look interesting.  I'm expecting a mixed bag.
