Comment by Kelly on October 2, 2012 at 4:31am Excellent show, don't think I've enjoyed an LTD this much in a while. That part at the beginning took me on a nostalgia trip back to places I didn't think I could visit anymore. The stories from the old cable access show were especially fun too.

Comment by SunGod on September 16, 2012 at 4:51pm great show guys i wish billy was there to weigh in on the black men and white women thing. personally i cant stand how much influence people on race when it comes to dating but thats the world we live in. ive dated both black & white girls and i cant speak for everyone but to me, there skin color matters as much as if that person has freckles or allergic to shellfish, idk just doesnt matter to me. But im glad you guys read that question and thanks to whoever asked it because it is something worth discussing
Comment by MR CHOCOLATE BAR on September 16, 2012 at 11:35am you seem to think that i am saying that black people are mind controlled like some kind of Manchurian candidate and we have no free will to do ANYTHING. i never said that, i just said that there is imagery out there that causes some black people to do certain things just like 10 mcdonalds commercials make you want to go out and get a big mac. mcdonalds is not forcing you to go get a big mac, you make that decision yourself but make no mistake about it, mcdonalds' commercials showing you that juicy burger with fluffy buns falling out of the air onto the meat had an influence.
i never said anything about slave mentality. i don't think slave mentality has anything to do with what i said. i am also not saying that white people intentionally do this to black people.
not only is a woman's weave NOT irrelevant, it is almost the exact same dynamic as black men influenced to go after white women. we have two groups being told in subtle ways that their own phenotype is bad while the white phenotype is better. some black women then want the white woman's hair while some black man want the rest of her.
while most outsiders recognize that this is some sort of dysfunction, the people who do it never seem to think so and offer many excuses for it. you never will hear either admit that conditioning plays a roll. by the way, this is not a one sided phenomena....they don't only think that the white option is better, they also think that the black option is bad or inferior to some degree. always remember, the opposite side of the white worship coin is black hatred. now, i know these words are strong and i am not saying that this applies to everybody who does these things but it is a general description of why it happens.
Comment by wuzzman on September 16, 2012 at 10:49am Err no. I'm saying that if we've been so beat down and hammered down by the media and cultural representation of black people and our "place" in society than the civil rights wouldn't have happen. You can't have it both ways. Either we are subconsciously being manipulated by conditioning 500 years old that controls the who and why we place our dicks where we please, or we are our own separate motives for doing the shit that we do. Someone behaving in away counter productive to their upbringing is not new to me. Kids in the middle of suburbia with the only form of public transportation being the greyhound bus adopting a hood mentality because the cool kids smoke weed or because they live only one mile away from a city.
Fact is something as irrelevant as a woman's weave is not a greater example of slave mentality conditioning that is 400 years old, since the process of curling and wearing dresses and pants that make your ass look bigger than it actually is just as fuck retarded. I read the same history books and read about black business being burned down the KKK, farms and entire land holding shrug aside because black people aren't allowed to own shit. Black athletes being actively barred from doing the sport they trained for only to be barely recognized. The fast man alive to win gold medal and to make hitler shake his hand being made to race horses when he got back home. Where was the disintegration of our spirit and will do to do much better and to aim higher than we were told every day of every second? Where the only thing you were expected to do was be a janitor or garbage collector? Do you realize how fucked as a culture you have to be to not even find a woman who looks like your mother beautiful? Do you realize that non of the progress we've made in the last 60 years wouldn't have happened if black men rather be fucking a good ol white woman instead of his wife? I'm sorry YOU can explain YOUR actions that way, but you don't speak for me, probably for Korey, but not me.
Comment by MR CHOCOLATE BAR on September 16, 2012 at 10:10am wuzzman, you seem to under estimate the power of a life time of imagery. i gave the example of an experiment in which black children were given black dolls and white doll. these children said the white dolls were smarter, prettier and that the black dolls were uglier and not as smart. from where do you think these beliefs come? understand that when i give examples of tv and movies that doesn't meant that those are the ONLY sources. these children also see how the people in power are white while the people with no power are black, they see how the whites are usually in positions of power over them and their parents (cops, judges, bosses etc) and they also notice the poverty of their people vs the relative wealth of whites. these kids even recognize that the voices of their favorite cartoon characters are voiced by white people. many things that you don't even notice are noticed by these children.
as i said before, we are talking about a subtle conditioning not brain washing. you act as if i am saying that black people grow up into adulthood and then suddenly are brainwashed when they turn on a tv show.
anyway, i can't believe that a guy like you, who sees a brony movement pop up in front of his own eyes, doesn't recognize the influence of media. i can't believe that a man who is aware of how 95+ percent of black women walk around with straightened hair or weave and not their own natural hair, doesn't believe in conditioning. i can't believe that any person doesn't recognize that american pop culture has spread through out the world to such a degree that you now see nigerian and other women in an all black country walking around with straighened hair. they didn't grown up in america but the multimedia culture has reached over seas to effect them. that is how powerful these images are. when you are black and see your tv and movie heros who do not look like you, you end up subconsciosly worshipping the physical characteristics of that person and therefore, characteristics that are not yours.
we all know how rap music started in america in the bronx, how do you explain how rap music is in every pocket of the world from russia to england to libya to austrailia? IT WAS MEDIA!!!
also, i really get sick and tired of how certain black people like yourself try to reduce any analysis of racism that involves the mentioning of 'white people', into some kind of perceived irrational attack on whiteness and white people,by black people. you take on this kind of 'black guard dog sitting at the feet of massa ' , persona.
unfortunately, you sound like one of those black guys who is on a hair trigger to criticize any other black person who you perceive as 'blaming the white man'. i would go on about how i can't stand black people who carry and repeat that slogan for white america like a water boy carries water, but i have written too much already. i will however say this; just because somebody black is always talking about how white racism and slavery and jim crow caused so many problems that are still with us today, doesn't mean they are always blaming whites.........it means that white racism jim crow and slavery WAS in fact that pervasive! get over it....slavery wasn't merely page 213-215 in your history book it was a 400 year nightmare for african people. only a fool would believe that a 400 slavery +100 years of legal discrimination system just ended suddenly with no effect on the next 60 years.
