Comment by Trane90 on August 29, 2012 at 3:36pm I completely agree with every point you guys made about action movies of the past and The Expendables.
Comment by The GodDamn Fatman on August 27, 2012 at 6:00pm I think you guys had better discuss Batman some more just so that My Little Pony doesn't hold the record for having the most podcasts about it.
Comment by Kelly on August 27, 2012 at 3:53am Whoever says that Powerpuff Girls and Panty & Stocking are alike besides the somewhat similar art either have no idea what they're talking about/haven't actually seen both shows or have a very twisted interpretation of the shows. PPG, while having some bad episodes later on was fun and a pretty good kid's show. P&S is mostly pretentious, unpleasant and vulgar for the sake of shock value and fan service. I do like the character designs though.
Anyway, having seen all the episodes from both seasons, i think it needs to be said that My Little Pony: Friendship is magic is all too over-rated by its fandom. It has a very good cast and had a promising start, but I don't think it lived up to it as the series went on. While there were good and decent episodes, there were some really meh or straight out awful ones too.
The premises for those episodes sound great, but when it came round to actually writing it they did such a terrible job it's like they got lazy or stopped caring. And it's not just that the episodes were boring, it actually undermined or ruined the characterization of the characters, which was the best thing the show had going. It got pretty frustrating and disappointing, especially since you still have fans lapping it up anyway if the Youtube comments on the eps were anything to go by. It does have good moments, but they weren't outstanding or frequent enough to make the show more than "ok".
A remarkable thing about this fandom though is that it actually adds a lot to it and make it better than what it would have been by itself. You have fans creating some pretty impressive fanart, music, and even games.
With that aside, good show, Kimono Joe was a great guest.
Comment by Brinkman on August 25, 2012 at 7:49pm There are so many people on here who are hating the fact you guys are talking about bronies and featured one on here. There is always going to be those kind of people. I'm the kind that will listen to all of your podcasts no matter what the topic. I enjoy hearing you guys talk. So sick of the people who choose to come to this site then complain.

Comment by Sterling on August 23, 2012 at 6:22pm Joe really got into the groove of things as it progressed, good job man. Also, I love it when Korey laughs wholeheartedly, just don't turn your headphones too loud haha.
Comment by The Dubya on August 23, 2012 at 4:30pm They speak of the amazing Gotye??? WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME OF THIS?
Oh, for only like a second. =[
Comment by liquidocelot88 on August 23, 2012 at 3:20pm @Dominic H There's no possible way to explain the phenomenon.
Comment by KangaRuegg on August 23, 2012 at 1:20pm I agree with Korey on that Gotye album! There are also some really awesome animated music videos that were created for a couple of those tracks. If you haven't seen them, check it out:
This one has a very Miyazaki/Where the Wild Things Are feel, which of course makes me think of Beasts of the Southern Wild :)
