THE LEAGUE OF EXTREMELY ORDINARY GENTLEMEN:
Volume 8, Issue 9: Seriously, Fuck Battleship

That's the best running thread I could find for a title. Do with that as you will, but there's lots of good conversations running from the serious to the bizarre in this week's episode. Also, our good friend and future Spill dot Con showman Jason Neulander stops by to chat with us about the upcoming Intergalactic Nemesis tour. Check it....

And don't forget, SPILL DOT CON 2012 is just a few weeks away! We have a great weekend lined up for everyone so get your tickets now!

The "Hall of Debauchery" should be the name.

Ugh, even as a christian I have a pet peeve for anyone who holds a belief just because they were raised to believe that. I was raised as a christian, but from about ten to fifteen I took a step back and started asking myself questions about why I believed what I did. And once I figured oh, its just because I was raised that way I kind of just renounced it and was agnostic for a few years.

But then about twice a month I will meet some person who is intolerantly religious. And then when they start off on their whole we are so oppressed and society at large is against us, or whatever it is and I ask an example one of two things will happen.

1) Either they will just kind of stand there and stutter because, holy crap some christian just questioned another.

2) Or they will start yelling about how those damn atheists are even coming into churches to try an undermine us. And then they won't believe me when I say that I am a christian.

Either way it pisses me off to an incredible amount.

Speaking of Who's Line Is It Anyway, you should look up the bloopers from season 1. They're on youtube and I was laughing my ass off the entire time.

I dislike this style of LEOG... Its just a lesser form of LDT.

@Mandy Savage: Yeah, for the 1 or 2 minutes she actually talked. :P

honestly my biggest bitch about religion in politics is just the general disenfranchisement between the state and any public institution.

the government is not supposed to endorse anything, and make sure no one is being actively discriminated against by religion.

it is religious tolerance not religious freedom. everyone is supposed to be allowed to practice what they want. nowhere does it say you are free from someone's beliefs.

we live in harmony i say merry christmas you say solemn Ramadan and neither blink an eye.

not pleasant small talk violates my vow of silence therefore we should all have to communicate via text message so my 100 followers are not condemned to live their lives in isolation.

the christian right war on Christianity is used as a forced perspective to champion christian policies but while misguided it does have a point. IMO the further rulings and laws explicitly banning religion in public drives us apart when it needs to bring us together.

Hey Cyrus, I know you like Wes Anderson, what do you think of this tribute I edited?

That Mandy Savage sounds like a sexy lady.

@PurpleSubmarine: I agree that I would like a LEOG based around a theme or special guest. I will also say that I didn't like LEOG shortly after Leon took over but I got used to it. I would like to see where this new directionless direction takes LEOG and it's loyal listeners.
