I still have the PS2 version of The Warriors... a beat-em-up worth playing at least once.

Warning: Rant in coming.

I didn't hate this game but it was very lackluster. The game is short as balls and the story is utterly forgettable. Locals all felt pretty much the same and the level design was crap. Stealth mechanic is the most finicky thing ever,  you get spotted when you're hugging cover or crouch walking in the shadows a mile away and then you can run right through the enemys line of sight without him noticing you, it is incredibly unreliable which renders it pointless.

So it boils down to a sniper game where you pretty much have to go with the 'shoot them all' approach. There is two pistols and three machine guns, all with so few bullets and ridiculous reticle bloom that there is never a point in using them. Even the silenced pistol that is for silent takedowns is worthless since it's so inaccurate that you have to get so close you might as well do a melee takedown.

Sniper rifle is the only usable gun which I don't mind to be honest because it is a sniping game. Since it's the only gun that shoots where you point it it's the best in close quarters as well. The only difference in the couple sniper rifles the game gives you is the zoom level, how many bullets there are in the clip or if it's bolt-action or semi-automatic. No difference in recoil or damage stats or the feel of the gun in any manner making the one that shoots the fastest and has the most zoom automatically the best so no point in playing around with different guns.

The game isn't complete crap, the killcam is a cute feature but it wasn't nearly as gruesome as it should have been, you get to see the bullet travel through the body and if it hits an organ you see the bullet go through it and some blood gunshing around. The equipment are fine, especially the trip mine.

The game is just a boring shooter that gets repetetive despite being very short and you have only one gun. It doesn't give you anything cool to do, there aren't even any crazy long shots you have to take. I tried to go as far as possible sometimes once I spotted an enemy to see the furthest line of sight and take the shot. I hardly ever got to shoot any further than 250 metres, I've taken longer shots in Battlefield 3 for christs sake and this is supposed to be a sniping only game! There should have been some missions where you set up shop and shoot through some little cranny over a kilometre away at a guy, or when you do the Adolf shootin' they could have made it satisfying like you get to put 10 killcam shots to his face to see him turn into pudding.

This is worth 10 bucks at most.

Actually it stands for both. It's supposed to be a play on the word. Look up the interviews and dev diaries, it's a remake.

The V2 in the game's title refers to the V2 rocket base that you've mentioned, Prof. Jeff; it's part of what you're trying to get to at one point in the game.  It doesn't mean Version 2.  And I don't think that it's a remake, either.

If you love internal bodily damage in games, you guys HAVE to do a playthrough of Mortal Kombat (the 2011 one). Its got the best internal bodily damage system ive ever seen in any game.

Damn. I think you're right, Nimrod.

Jason, I do believe that the ludicrously hard sniper level is from Medal of Honor Allied Assault and not from Call of Duty 2. But yeah, that Medal of Honor sniper level is soooo damn hard and just annoying.

And Jeff, keep zhooting thoze buttz!
