If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Longleke posted a discussionI know there are a great many mixed feelings out there concerning 'Tron: Legacy.' Personally, I love it until about the hour mark, when they get to Castor's club the movie starts to go downhill. Up until that point, I really dug the effects, the music, and even the story. That's why I'm so interested in Disney XD's upcoming animated series 'Tron: Uprising.' The animation seems to fuse the aesthetic of the recent film with anime style to create something truly spectacular. It also features the voice talents of Elijah Wood, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reubens, and Bruce Boxleitner (Tron himself!). This latest trailer also promises a goodly amount of action. I can't wait to check this show out; hope I actually have Disney XD. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Comment by The Fridge Raider on May 4, 2012 at 7:38pm It kinda looks like that other show called Motor City, knaamean?
Looks cool, almost wish I was 9 again.
Lance has the perfect villans voice. He's totally what i imagine lex luthor sounding like.
Comment by Falcon Empress on May 2, 2012 at 9:56am Despite the clunky animation the action looks decent and the visual style is so very pritteh buuut you can say the same thing about TRON: Totally Not a Remake Twenty Years After the Fact, aherm, Legacy. The fact that the soundtrack is just the musical equivalent of palet-swapping enemies in video games does not give me much hope either, although I suppose that for a TV show, hiring Daft Punk to do the soundtrack would be a tad too much for the budget. The story looks like it will be yet another rehash of the "young hero must save the day" theme, but with those annoying stupid pointless ridiculous ISOs thrown into the mix. I guess I should not really be saying anything before the show comes out, but while the first trailer did get me genuinely pumped, this just looks abysmal.
Comment by DeathNRebirth on May 2, 2012 at 2:36am Watching this gets me thinking that if the anime studio Madhouse got the rights to this IP, they could make an absolutely incredible feature length movie out of it. in a perfect world...

Comment by VinnyLT on May 1, 2012 at 11:34pm Sweet Merciful Crap! hmmm... looks like toon shaded 3D running at 12 or 15 FPS to make it look 2D.. wierd choice for something that has always been about 3d graphics.. why would they want to simulate 2d? if that were the case why not just traditionally animate it? thoughts?
Comment by Slusho98 on May 1, 2012 at 10:38pm So am I the only one who thinks this looks stunningly great?
