The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen: Volume 8, Issue 3: Lansdale Landslide

The much heralded return of our favorite guest ever, author Joe R. Lansdale, has finally come to pass! Joe, and his daughter Kasey, who is a talented musician and author herself, sit down with the LEOG gang and converse about all kinds of stuff, including Kasey's upcoming album and Joe's new highly regarded novel, "Edge of Dark Water". The only thing that possibly could have made this greater is if Cyrus hadn't screwed up
the end of it. Oh well. Check it out...

Even with the loss that was an awesome episode. I'm amazed at the Landsdale family, they just seem too awesome. They have to have some kind of major flaw. Are they hideously ugly in person? Please say yes.

Hey, 2/3 of an episode is still an episode and a fantastic one at that. It's a shame the last 1/3 was lost but stuff happens.  It was still a fantastic episode nonetheless.  Also, I almost want to give Cyrus my copy of Mulberry St. because that is a pretty good horror film.

@Batfan175 I don't want this to turn into a giant religion discussion, but if people want to form groups based on similar beliefs then let them. Saying people with similar beliefs shouldn't gather together has many negative implications. Even if difference between religions didn't exist and everyone agreed on the ambiguity of a higher power, there would be an infinite number of other subjects people would disagree and kill each other over. To paraphrase Samara from ME2 "... if there are three <people> in a room, there will be six opinions."

Not sharing and disagreeing over ideas only stops progress. From conflict, ideas only become stronger.

Hey don't feel too bad about that ending, we still got two thirds of a great show and we got them for free, what more could we want. And hey, you guys helped me out with that ending, I've been saving up money for a Mac for a while because I had never heard anything bad about it, but after hearing about the whole update thing? Wow, um, you guys might have just saved me a lot of money.

Great episode guys, even in spite of the Garage Band Fail. It was great to hear that Joe is willing to return and it was awesome hearing him again. The last time he visited I went out and bought "The Best of Joe Lansdale" and discovered Mad Dog Summer, one of the most engaging short stories I have EVER read. So I have many thinks to you guys. Don't feel too bad guys, stuff happens and I know some days the best episodes may seem like the lost episodes. But to be honest, every episode is the best episode to me.

Long Live The League!!!

So happy , then so sad, then happy again hearing Joe may bring His son on next time. Don't beat yourself up, 2/3 of a Lansdale show is still 110% AWESOME!
