MY COMMENT to people who say NO to talking about Trayvon my question is this: 

Why not? Why not talk about this? Some people say who cares, well why the hell don't you care? The way I see it, a man killed someone. I think if Zimmerman was arrested and prosecuted people would have been satisfied. It wouldn't bring Trayvon back but at least there was justice. The same justice that makes sure rapist and murders go to jail so we do not get raped and murdered. 

My only comment to people of other race primary WHITE PEOPLE is this, IT'S NOT A FUCKING BATTLE OF THE RACES. Do not feel like you have an obligation *cough cough* Mark Sasuke *cough cough* to point out how many black people kill white people or the wrong black people do. A point I LOVED in the podcast when they mention the black panthers. You can't judge an entire race or society based on the actions of one individual of that race or society BUT you can learn how society treats a person of a certain race. Idgaf is Zimmerman is racist or not, thats not the point. THE POINT is that the police profiled Trayvon. 

Well that's my opinion.. Oh, and I love spill.com! This site is awesome!

I just wanted to say that I'm glad Let's Do This talked about the Trayvon Martin story. I also thought I should say that me, a white woman, and my rare liberal NRA boyfriend believe that there was no way Zimmerman was "standing his ground" when he shot Martin. You can't stalk someone, then create a hostile situation, and claim to be defending yourself when you kill someone. If anything, Martin was "standing his ground" when he fought back!

And I'm sorry, but Mark Sasuke's comment that we shouldn't give a fuck is completely asinine. Police incompetency and young people getting murdered is not a "non-issue". It's a big deal and it happens in America more than you know, and maybe not everyone wants to stick their fingers in their ears and pretend that it didn't happen. Talking about it is more important than just ignoring it. Ignoring it just allows history to keep repeat itself.

A LOT OF PEOPLE DO!!!! and for you to paint it as people just hopping on what's new and controversial this week and dismiss it as some trivial pointless incident is not only insensitive but extremely insulting.  Since you believe white people are dying at the hands of blacks everyday solely based on the fact their white why don't you enlighten us to such cases! The reason this case is prominent is because of not only the racial aspect of it but the institutional discrimination of the police towards minorities and the factual recorded long history of such events not the shit your trying to spew. One more time, Korey Billy and CoHost were asked to talk about this case by many Spill members including my self. I wanted to hear what intelligent thoughtful people who I admire have to say about a case that's relevant to everyone, because that kid could have easily been anyone's son. If you don't give a shit because you feel racism is equal across the board and so in turn there should be nothing said or done about it then you are a DAMN FUCKING FOOL!!!! Go listen to some other podcasts if you don't like what they have to say, your not paying for anything here bitch, last time I checked this was stills Korey's podcast and he can talk about WHAT EVER THE FUCK he wants!

I gotta say this was one hell of an episode. Glad to see Yalls spin on this thing and still let it not be 100% serious of a show. You guys always have a good balance of that kind of stuff so props. 

As far as the Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin case goes, there are so many different stories on who did what and why and people trying to justify both sides. It comes down to this. Trayvon was a 17 year old kid who death is a tragedy no doubt about it. But what if Zimmerman was your brother or your friend too? I am not saying he is right (that man should never have been allowed to own a gun in the first place) but with so many people wishing he be hung and crucified, that is not helping Trayvon's memory or image. If something horrible happened to Zimmerman like he killed himself or was murdered, that would make matters even worse. 

The real crime here is the police force and their lack of followthrough and the media distorting this whatever way they can to make money. This event is a tragedy and should have not happened but it did and now they need to figure out why it did and why the police did such a shit job cleaning up the mess.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a great game that delves into the whole SW Universe that wasn't really covered in the movies! I hope one day they make a movie based on it!
