As a P.S. can someone tell me which loading bar podcast or play through these guys talk about the Cross (Sexual) Assault fiasco?

I want this game solely for Kuma and his hilarious combo special. Who doesn't love a dancing bear? I'll wait down the road though because most fighting games have special edition out in a year or so and I'm not hurting for this game.

Capcom is a money grubbing company, they do the same marketing strategies with pretty much all their fighting games at this point. Prime example, look at Street Fighter 4, three 40 dollar iterations later and numerous costume dlc's people are just rolling their eyes waiting for the next announcement of an "overpriced" patch. Fast forward to SF X Tekken and the problem you have is that the 20 dollar dlc IS ALREADY on the disc that we've payed 60 dollars for on day one. It's a matter of adding insult to injury for people who don't care for this type of DLC marketing in the first place. If a company is going to do moves like this they should really consider their consumer's opinions on how their content is being marketed to them. With Capcom however they pretty much have the fighting game market by the balls and know that people will shell out to be able to play with all their friends even if they'll never use the new dlc characters.

One of my biggest problem with fighting games is weak or no storyline. I'll even take something like MK:9's plot.

I understand what Professor Jeff is saying about DLC and Extra Credits did a really good piece addressing these very issues pretty even handedly (I really recommend watching it). However I feel there is bit a of a difference with EA and Capcom, both companies being somewhat notorious for their attitudes towards control over content and charging for it. Plus, their own statements regarding these issues are often controversial. But there really are a lot of characters in the game... Well, if you own a PS3, but that's another can of worms. A great review nonetheless from you guys, though. Keep it up!

I'm not a fan of DLC characters but I'm also happy the day of unlocking characters is over. Really I just don't like locked characters for fighting games (Which is what they're doing in this game... grrr)

. It always sucks when you get good at the game with a certain character and go over to a buddy's house to play only to find out he didn't unlock your character.

I miss the days when you could actually unlock characters just by playing the game.

This is my problem with the DLC characters - In Tekken 3, there was a huge variety of characters to unlock, and you did it by progression. By playing the Arcade Mode many times, building your technique. This.... doesn't reward progression at all, it just throws them at you if you have the money to pay them. It's exactly the same with the Collector's Edition, it gives you an advantage for how big your wallet is, I really don't like that general idea. DLC is great, but it should broaden the game, not simply do the work for you.

I still can't get over the fact that there's a Robot Zangief...
